I. K. Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU) (formerly Punjab Technical University (PTU)) is a State university located at Kapurthala highway, Jalandhar, India. It is now part of M.R.S state technical university ,bathinda .It was established by an act of State Legislature on 16 January 1997, to promote technical, management and pharmaceutical education in the state of Punjab


Eligibility Criteria:

All those candidates who have passed Diploma examination from an AICTE approved institution and have obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of Candidates belonging to reserved category)
in appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology shall be eligible to apply.

OR
All those candidates who have passed B. Sc. Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC, with at least 45% marks (40% in case of Candidates belonging to reserved category) and passed XII standard with mathematics as a subject shall be eligible to apply

and
Students who have passed B. Sc. Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC, shall clear the subject of Engineering Graphics / Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of the first year engineering program along with second year subjects

Documents required at the time of Admission :
Seat Allotment Letter
Residence Certificate.
Matriculation Certificate containing date of birth.
Certificate regarding passing of qualifying Examination
Detailed Marks Card of the qualifying examination.
Character Certificate from the Principal of the Institution last attended.
Reserve Category / Sub-category Certificate from the Competent Authority, if applicable.
Calculation of aggregate percentage marks secured during Diploma/ B.Sc., to be self attested by the candidates.
Medical Fitness Certificate as per format given in Part – D
Gap certificate, if applicable.
Counselling Fee Deposit Slip.
Two recent passport size photographs
