Lakemba Public School is situated in South Western Sydney. A total of 44 languages are spoken at the school. The school serves an area of rich cultural diversity with around ninety-eight percent of the students coming from language backgrounds other than English.

The school has 19 classes and a number of Specialist teachers who provide quality programs in English as an Additional Language or Dialect, Music, Library and Arabic Community Language throughout the school.

School as Community Centre (SaCC)

The SaCC is a school based local community centre for families with children from birth to 8 years of age.

Who can come to the Centre?

Parents with young children who have NOT started school

Parents with children at school

Grandparents

Members of the community supporting children from birth to 8 years

What happens there

They provide a range of free activities and programs to promote healthy, happy families and give children a positive start to school.

They also aim to support families with young children and help build a stronger community of good neighbours.
