Department of Law of Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra was established in 1969 as the first Department of law in the State of Haryana to impart legal education and to conduct original and fundamental research in the contemporary areas of law and allied subjects.

The prime objective of the department is to achieve academic excellence in research and to inculcate & promote the legal education. The department has achieved the place as a centre of national & international legal research and studies, in which the students, lawyers, judges, government officials and academicians have been participating.

Facilities

Library and Computer Lab:

The Institute provides a variety of academic and support resources to enhance knowledge and experience for its students.

It has its own Library well-stocked with 7759 books on Law and other allied subjects with a spacious Reading Hall.

It subscribes all the leading Law Reports and Journals of National and International repute hard bound 615, National Journal 21 and Foreign 03.

To be aware of the recent innovations in Computer Technology has become prerequisite for any field of knowledge. It is all the more true in case of legal field.

It boasts of a well-equipped Computer Lab consisting of 18 Desktop Computers with latest configuration to cater to the needs of the law students in the field of computer education.

Apart from equipping them with the basic theoretical knowledge, there is networking facility and the software of Law Encyclopedia. Besides, the students have a free access to the Computer Centre of the University.

Moot Court Room:



In order to train the growing lawyers, the faculty employs a mix of learning tools aimed at providing sound conceptual knowledge and realistic situations for problem solving and decision making.

Moot Courts and Practical Training is the essential part to train the budding lawyer and acquaint them with the dummy moot problem. The moot court is the attractive academic part of course curricula and develops with modern technology.

Smart Class Room:



In order to teach the student with modern technology and inform the student with the latest law cases the institute has established with smart class room facility.
