The Kathmandu University School of Management MBA program is an intensive two-year course spread over six terms of full time study The annual cycle of KUSOM MBA program is as follows: Spring Term (February to May) Summer Term (June to September) Fall Term (October to January) MBA Admission Candidate must have done Bachelor’s degree of at least three years’ duration in any discipline with minimum of 50 percent marks in aggregate or 2 CGPA Formal Admission process takes place in • December-January for the Spring Term and • August – September for the Fall Term. Selection of the candidates is based on: • Scores on the KUSOM Management Admission Test (verbal and quantitative reasoning, data interpretation, and proficiency in English language), • written English test, group discussion, and personal interview; and • Merit of academic attainments up to the undergraduate level Five structured levels of courses that lead to MBA degree are: For Regular MBA Foundation [14 Credits] Management Core [21 Credits] Integrative [9 credits] Concentration [12 Credits] Elective [4 Credits] Experiential Projects (Practicum) [2 credits] For Specialist MBA Foundation [14 Credits] Management Core [21 Credits] Integrative [9 credits] Concentration [17 Credits] Elective [2 Credits] Experiential Projects (Practicum) [2 credits] A student is required to complete altogether 30 courses totaling 62 credit hours to get the MBA degree.
