I am preparing for the Kerala TET (Teachers Eligibility Test) exam and want from where I can get the exam notifications. Will you please provide me the link from where I can check the KTET exam dates and latest syllabus also provide me the notes for preparation?

Kerala Teachers Eligibility Test (KTET) is Conducted by the Government of Kerala.

Eligibility and Qualifications for Kerala TET:

Candidates Should have following Qualifications as Prescribed by the NCTE.

The State governments may change the qualifications and eligibility requirements as per the GOs issued by them.
Category I (Lower Primary classes)
Category II (Upper Primary classes)
Category III (High School classes)
Category IV (Language Teachers)

Exam Fee Details :

The Exam fee for each category is Rs. 500/- (Five Hundred only) The fee for SC/ST and differently abled categories is Rs. 250/- (Rupees Two Hundred and Fifty only).


KTET Exam Syllabus and Scheme:

KTET Syllabus Consists Of Two Objective Type Question Papers.

Each paper will consist of 150 MCQs
Each Question Carries 1 Marks Totaling for 150 Marks.

Selection Procedure

A person who scores 60% or more in the K-TET examination will be considered ‘KTET passed’ or ‘K-TET qualified’. This will be the qualifying marks for all categories.

Negative Marks: There shall be no negative marks for the test.

Category I: The Exam Paper will consists of Questions on

1. Child Development and Pedagogy
2. Language I-Malayalam/ Tamil/ Kannada
3. Language II- English/Arabic
4. Environmental Studies
5. Mathematics

Category II: The Exam Paper will consists of Questions on

1.Child Development and Pedagogy
2.Language I-Malayalam/ Tamil/ Kannada/English
3.Language II- Malayalam/English/Hindi/Arabic/Urdu/ Sanskrit
4. a. Science & Mathematics
b. Social Science

Category III: The Exam Paper will consists of Questions on

1. Adolescent Psychology, Theories of Learning and Teaching Aptitude.
2. Language I: Malayalam/English/Tamil/Kannada
3 .Subject specific areas (Content & Pedagogy)

Category IV: The Exam Paper will consists of Questions on

1.Child Development, Pedagogy & Teacher Aptitude
2. Language Malayalam/English/Tamil/Kannada
3. Subjects specific paper (Content & Pedagogy).
