By KSLU articles, radio at Saint Louis University started in 1920 with the foundation of the main radio station west of the Mississippi River, WEW. WEW was a personnel run, religious radio station. At that point in 1949 the correspondences office built up KBIL, an understudy run station working as a transporter current office television to a little sweep around grounds.
