The Koyna Hostel is the Girls Hostel of Jawaharlal Nehru University JNU

Hostel has a diverse group of students representing every state in India as well as several international students.

It is spacious, well furnished hostel.

Most rooms are dual occupancy and each room has a balcony.

The hostel has a gym, a reading room, and a TV room for residents.

There are sports facilities like badminton court, table tennis, and carom board.

The Hostel provides an excellent environment for academic work of residents.

The Hostel Mess offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner to all the residents.

Keeping with the democratic ethos of JNU, the Hostel elections are held every year at the beginning of the new academic year and presided over by the four Wardens of the hostel.

The Hostel President, the Hostel Committee with six members, and the Mess Committee with six members are elected every year.

Upto 22.5% (15% for SC and 7.5% for ST, (interchangeable, if necessary) and 3% of the seats in the hostels are reserved for the SC/ST and Physically Handicapped candidates respectively.

All SC (Boys and Girls) except residents of Delhi will be provided hostel.

The SC/ST/PH students are exempted from payment of hostel fee (room rent). This is applicable only to those SC/ST/PH students who are not in receipt of fellowships/ scholarships and whose parents/guardians income is under Rs. 75,000/- per annum.
