Knowledge About NDA Exam

I am planning to join National Defence Academy (NDA) and I know I have to give entrance exam for taking admission. Will you please provide me eligibility and Education Qualification required to apply for this Exam and also provide me important dates of exam so I can apply?

National Defence Academy (NDA 2016) is an national level entrance exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for recruiting candidates to the Indian Defence forces that includes:

Indian Army
Indian Navy and
Indian Air Force

Eligibility:

Age limit:

For NDA 1 2016:

The candidates must be Born after 2nd July 1997 but not later than 1st July 2000 are eligible for NDA 1 2016.

For NDA 2 2016:

The candidates not born before 2nd January 1998 and not later than 1st July 2001 are eligible.

Education Qualification:

The candidates who are have passed class 12 or appearing with physics, chemistry and mathematics as a subject can apply for this. However minimum marks in this case is 60 %

Exam Pattern:

Both the NDA 1 and NDA 2 exam consist of two papers. First one is mathematics and the second one is general ability test.

Mathematics: This paper consist multiple choice question of mathematics based on the syllabus of class 11 and 12.The time limit of this paper is 2.5 hours.

General Ability: In this part there are two sections. First section is of English with 200 marks and the second section consists of general knowledge with 400 marks.

Selection process:

Candidates must pass the Written Exam.
After written test the successful candidates will call for Personal Interview.
After interview selection will be done on the basis of medical report.
