KCET Rural Quota
Is there any reservation given for rural area candidates? If yea how many seats come under rural quota for MBBA / BDS course?

KCET exam is conducted by Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA). Yes , reservation is given for rural area candidates in KCET admission . 15% of the Government seats reserved horizontally in favor of rural candidates . If candidates claiming for rural quota he / she have to provide study certificate from 1st to 10th std for Ten Complete Years. KCET exam eligibility for MBBA /BDS course : Candidate should have studied and passed 10 +2 level of examination . Obtained a Minimum of 50% of Marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology subjects. (40% for SC, ST, Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates) Criteria for admission: The marks obtained in PCB Subjects in CET. Documents to be produced: SSLC / 10th standard Marks Card, 2nd PUC / 12th standard Marks Card of the candidate, Candidate’s Study Certificate; If claiming Rural quota: – Rural Study Certificate from 1st to 10th std for Ten Complete Years. If claiming Kannada Medium quota: Kannada Medium Study Certificate from 1st to 10th std for Ten Complete Years;. If claiming reservation benefits: Caste / Caste Income Certificate issued by Concerned Tahsildar- For SC / ST in Form-D, Category-I in form E and 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B in Form F. |
