The Kaushik Basu was Professor of Economics at the Delhi School of Economics in 1992.

Kaushik Basu was born in 9 January 1952.

In 1969 he moved to Delhi to do his undergraduate studies in Economics (Honors) with Mathematics as subsidiary, from St. Stephen's College.

Kaushik Basu is Senior Vice President and Chief Economist, World Bank.
