The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission has invited applications for the KAS (Preliminary) Exam Important dates: Opening date for registration: May 12, 2014 Closing date for registration: June 12, 2014 Date of preliminary examination (In two Sessions): October 12, 2014 Date of main examination: March 1, 2015 Vacancy details: Total Number of Post: 51 posts Junior Scale of J&K Administrative Service: 33 posts J&K Police (G) Service: 16 posts J&K Accounts (G) Service: Two posts Eligibility criteria: Candidates should be a permanent resident of the state. Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) issued notification for KAS (Preliminary) Exam Important Dates: Opening Date for Registration: 12 May 2014 Closing Date for Registration: 12 June 2014 Date of Preliminary Examination (In two Sessions): 12 October 2014 Date of Main Examination: 01 March 2015 Details of Post Junior Scale of J&K Administrative Service: 33 J&K Police (G) Service: 16 J&K Accounts (G) Service: 02 Total Number of Post: 51 Eligibility Applicants must be a permanent resident of the State. Applicants should have attained minimum 21 years but not have exceeded the age of 35 years (in case of OM Applicants) as on 01 January 2014 The upper age limit in case of following shall, however be 37 years again reckonable with reference to 01 January 2014 Applicants belonging to Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes/ Socially and Educationally Backward Classes; Applicants holding a civil post in the State in a substantive capacity The upper age limit for physically challenged Applicants is 38 years irrespective of the category to which such a candidate belongs. Applicants must have Bachelor’s degree of a recognized University . |

Vacancy details: Junior Scale of J&K Administrative Service: 33 posts J&K Police (G) Service: 16 posts J&K Accounts (G) Service: Two posts Total Number of Post: 51 posts Important dates: Opening date for registration: May 12, 2014 Closing date for registration: June 12, 2014 Date of preliminary examination (In two Sessions): October 12, 2014 Date of main examination: March 1, 2015 Eligibility criteria: Candidates should be a permanent resident of the state. Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree from a recognised university in India or of a foreign university declared by government in consultation with the commission to be equivalent to the degree of a recognised Indian University. Applicants should be between 21 to 35 years (in case of OM Applicants) as on January 1, 2014. That is, the candidate must have been born not earlier than January 1, 1979 and not later than January 1, 1993. |

S/he should have completed bachelor's degree from a recognized university in India. Age of the candidate should be between 21 to 35 years (in case of OM candidates) as on January 1. Application Forms Fee: Open Merit/General Category Candidates: Rs. 800/- SC, ST, RBA, LAC, Social Caste (SLC) and Physically Challenged (PHC) category candidates: Rs. 550/- Female candidates belonging to BPL (Below Poverty Line) category: No fee Important Tentative Dates: Opening date for registration: 2nd week of May Closing date for registration: 2nd week of June Date of preliminary examination (In two Sessions): 2nd week of October Date of main examination: 1st week of March |
