Karnataka Examinations Authority conducts the Post Graduate Common Entrance Test for admission to first year / first semester MBA/MCA/M.E./M.Tech/M.BA (Infrastructure Management) courses in the State of Karnataka.

Karnataka PGCET Eligibility Criteria

For Full Time M.E. / M.Tech / M.Arch / MBA (Infrastructure Management) Course:

Candidate with valid GATE score as defined by KEA

A candidate who has passed prescribed qualifying examination or equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks taken together in all the subjects of all the years / semesters of the Degree Examination

45% of marks in Q. E. in case of SC, ST and Category-I candidates.

For Part Time M.E. / M.Tech / M.Arch courses-

A candidate who has passed prescribed qualifying examination or equivalent examination as specified with aggregate minimum of 50% marks taken together in all the subjects of all the years / semesters of the Degree

45% of marks in Q. E. in case of SC, ST and Category-I candidates

Work experience of 3 years in an establishment and must be working in an organization situated within a radial distance of 40 km from the institution in which the candidate seeks admission.

Application Form Fees: Rs.600 ( Rs.300 for SC/ST)

Tentative Important Dates:

Commencement of Entry of Application Online: July 2015

Last Date of Entry of Application: July 2015

Last date to pay the fees through NEFT transfer : July 2015

Downloading of Admission Tickets on or after: July 2015

Test: July 2015

Result: August

Exam Pattern:

Part 1: 50 questions of 1 mark each

Part 2: 25 questions of 2 marks each

Candidates who wish to apply for the M.Tech courses in Karnataka they need to attempt Karnataka PGCET exam. For this exam they should have some eligibility requiring for Karnataka PGCET exam?

Karnataka PGCET exam provides full time and part time admission to the various courses.

Eligibility:


Candidate have to passed qualifying examination ( BE / BTech / BArch ) or equivalent examination and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks taken together in all the subjects in all the years

Candidates must be Indian Nationals
Candidates can apply on the basis of valid GATE score and will be exempt from Karnataka PGCET.

M.Tech specializations:

Civil Engineering
Computer Science Engineering
Chemical Engineering
Environmental Engineering
Textile Technology
Mechanical Science
Electrical Science
Polymer Science
Architecture
Bio-Technology

Exam paper pattern:

Question paper will be having total 75 questions.
Multiple Choice Questions will be asked in the exam.
Question paper will be in English language.
Examination mode will be written based / offline.
Candidates have to select the one correct option from multiple choices.
There will be no negative marking.
