Paper Pattern

Karnataka PGCET MBA Pattern:-

The question paper is of 2 parts - Part One comprises of 2 Sections - Section A & Section B.

Section A : Proficiency in English Language, 25 questions, 25 marks

Section B :Test of General Knowledge, 25 questions, 25 marks

Part Two of the paper has two sections – Section C & Section D.

Section C : Test of Reasoning & General Intelligence, 25 questions, 25 marks

Section D : Test of Quantitative Analysis(Mathematical Skills), 25 questions, 25 marks

Note: The total duration of the test is 150 minutes. There are no negative marks for giving wrong answers. All the questions are of objective type.


Karnataka PGCET MCA Pattern:-

The question paper for MCA-2012 comprised Part A and Part B with questions from the following test areas:

1)Mathematics,
2)Computer Awareness,
3)Analytical Ability and Logical reasoning
4)General Awareness and
5)General English
6)General Knowledge

Part B consisted questions from Mathematics & Computers, and Part A consisted questions from all the test areas.

The break-up of marks was as follows:

Part A : 60 questions (60x1= 60 marks). Part B : 20 questions (20x2= 20 marks)

There were totally 80 questions for 100 marks. The duration of the test was of 120 minutes. There was no “Negative Marking” for wrong answers. All the questions were of objective type

Important Dates:
Last date for the submission of form is June 24.
PGCET 2014 test held on June 30.

Eligibility Criteria:
Interested applicants who has passed prescribed qualifying examination or equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks taken together in all the subjects of all the years / semesters of the Degree Examination
45% of marks in Q. E. in case of SC, ST and Category-I students .

Karnataka PGCET is the entrance exam for the PG Engineering Admissions in the state of Karnataka.

Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must have passed the qualifying examination or equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks (45% in case of SC, ST and Category-I candidates ) in aggregate

Applicants must meet the domicile requirements as specified.

Applicants must have studied for a minimum seven years from Class I to the qualifying exam.

Applicants with valid GATE score will be given preference and need not appear for Karnataka PGCET
