Paper – I:
This part carrying 100 questions with each question carrying two marks and duration of two hours the first paper contains
1. Current events of national and international importance.
2. History of India - Emphasis shall be on broad general understanding of the subject in its socio-economic, cultural and political aspects with a focus on Indian national movementwith special emphasis on Karnataka.
3. World Geography and special focus on Karnataka and India.
4. Indian polity
5. Indian economy

Paper – II:
This paper carrying 100 questions with each question carrying two marks. The duration is two hours It contains
1. Current events of State importance and important state Government Programmes.
2. General Science & Technology
3. Environment & Ecology
4. General Mental Ability – Comprehension, Logical reasoning and Analytical ability.
Compulsory Papers:
1. Kannada ……………..…….150 MARKS
2. English ……………………..150 MARKS

GENERAL STUDIES PAPER 1 (300 MARKS)
1. Modern History of India and Indian Culture with special reference to the History and Culture of Karnataka
2. Current events of State, National and International importance
3. Statistical Analysis, Graphs and Diagrams

GENERAL STUDIES PAPER -2 (300 MARKS)
1. Indian Polity with special reference to Karnataka State
2. Indian Economy and Geography of India with Special reference to Karnataka Economy and Karnataka Geography
3. The roll and impact of Science and Technology in the development of Karnataka and India.
