The School of Physical Education and Sports Sciences was organized in Kannur University in the year 2001, with a view to give quality expert preparing in Physical Instruction and to advance games exercises among University understudies.

The Department is working at the Mangattuparamba Campus of Kannur University which is 17 Kms. far from Kannur town towards north.

The division offers, two years Bachelor Degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed), two years Masters Degree in Physical Education (M.P.Ed.), one year Master of Philosophy in Physical Education (M.Phil.) and Research Programs in physical training and associated ranges driving to Ph.D. degree.
