JRF Vacancy in NCBS
Can you provide me the eligibility details for JRF or Junior Research Fellowship post offered in NCBS or National Centre for Biological Sciences as I want to apply for the post?

Research at NCBS which is a part of the TIFR or Tata Institute of Fundamental Research uses experimental and computational approaches to the study of molecules, cells and organisms. JRF Vacancy in NCBS One who have qualified in the CSIR/ICMR examination and would like to join NCBS as junior research fellows must have a clear idea of their research interests. If the research interests match with the research faculty they will contact directly. M.Sc/B.E./B.Tech degree holders also can contact the research faculty directly. They are supported by the Project Incharge's research grants, if get selected. JRFs are not ordinarily allowed to register for a degree. If a Junior Research Fellows wants to register for a degree, one need to apply in response to advertisements announced nationally in August/September every year. If the selected candidate features on the waiting list for admission one can register for a degree while working on the grant. One is treated on equality with students paid from NCBS funds. Once registered for a degree, the JRF will be subject to all the academic requirements that NCBS-paid students are. Candidates on the Integrated PhD wait list can register for the M Sc by research degree at TIFR Deemed University if a faculty member supports from one’s research grants. Junior Research Fellows are provided accommodation depending on the availability; otherwise one has to make own arrangement for accommodation. JRF Vacancy in NCBS |
