Jr. Executive (air traffic controller) is responsible for the safe, orderly and efficient movement of air traffic on. Air controllers will guide the plane during landing, while ground controllers will manage planes on the runway, issuing direction as planes taxi to and from parking stands and holding areas. Job profile: • To work with complex radar and computer systems to nearly monitor each plane to ensure a safe distance between all aircraft. • Making calculations, checking flight paths and issuing directions to pilots. • Guiding pilots between the hangar or ramp and the end of the airport’s airspace. Eligibility: The applicant should hold Engineering Degree in Electronics / Telecommunication / Radio Engineering / Electrical / Master’s Degree in Electronics OR equivalent, with First Class (60% or above). Following skills are also required: Planning ability Spatial awareness/orientation Figural reasoning Reaction time Verbal reasoning Quantitative reasoning Short-term memory – coping with distractions Following directions Dynamic alertness Style of coping with conflicts. Qualities: Excellent spatial vision, full colour vision and excellent hearing. Excellent communication skills to give clear instructions to pilots. Excellent numeracy skills and confidence working with technology. Clear speaking voice and fluent English. Ability to work calmly under pressure. Ability to solve problems and make decisions quickly. Ability to absorb and interpret information from different sources. Ability to check information quickly and accurately. Excellent teamworking skills. Willingness to work flexibly. Keen interest in aircraft and aviation. |

Air Traffic Controller is the person responsible to manage the flow of Air machines in the sky, be it Fighter, Commercial, Airbus or any other planes. With the globalization of the world and increasing use of the airways the responsibility of ATC's has increased a lot. This job is also considered as adventurous as they may get a chance flying one of the planes themselves. This profession not only provides thrill but also provides an opportunity to face challenges on daily basis. But to reach this post, one has to be really dedicated and hardworking. Air Traffic controller job profile One had to take care of all the technical things related with the aircrafts. one has to analyze factors such as weather reports, fuel requirements,conditions at altitudes, emergency conditions etc. He is the one who issues landing and take-off authorizations and instructions,maintain radio and telephone contact with adjacent control towers, terminal control units, and other area control centers in order to coordinate aircraft movement etc. Salary Report Junior executive (electronics): pay scale of Rs. 16,400-40,500 Manager (electronics): pay scale of Rs. 24,900- Rs. 50,500 Senior assistant (electronics) (non-executive cadre): pay scale of Rs. 14,500- Rs. 33,500 Eligibility to become Air Traffic Controller Jr. Executive 1. Educational Qualification To be eligible for becoming an Air Traffic Controller in India, one should have an Engineering Degree in Electronics / Telecommunication / Radio Engineering / Electrical / Master’s Degree in Electronics OR equivalent, with First Class (60% or above). 2. Age Lower age limit is 21 years, while the upper age limit is 27 years. 3. Physical Standards General physical fitness is mandatory. One must be free of any disease that can hamper normal function. vision in one eye must be perfect. In general medical terminology, it is called 6/6 eyesight. In the other eye, you could have an imperfection of 6/9, which must be correctable to 6/6. |
