Joint CSIR UGC NET is an paper-pen based test directed by the CSIR to decide the eligibility of indian national aspirants for award of JRF NET and for lecturers (NET) in the following subject areas under the faculty of Science and Technology. The Test will be held in the subjects as given under: 1. Life Sciences 2. Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences 3. Chemical Sciences 4. Mathematical Sciences 5. Physical Sciences 6. Engineering Sciences Eligibility:- Educational Qualification:- BS- 4 years program BPharma/MBBS/BE/BTech/ Integrated BS-MS/MSc or equivalent degree with 55% marks for OBC and general (50% for SC/ST applicants , physically and Visually Handicapped applicants ). BSc (Hons) or equivalent degree holders or students in Integrated MS -PhD program with 55% marks for general and OBC applicants; 50% marks for SC/ST applicants, physically and visually handicapped applicants are also eligible to apply Applicants with bachelor’s degree, whether engineering, or Science or any other discipline, will be eligible for fellowship Age Limit and Relaxation:- For JRF (NET):- Maximum 28 years For LS (NET):- No upper age limit. Paper Pattern The paper shall be a single multiple choice question based test in subjects of The total duration of the paper shall be two hours and the total marks 200. The question paper shall be divided into three parts, (A, B & C) Part 'A' shall be common to all subjects including Engineering Sciences. Part ‘B’ shall contain questions pertaining to Mathematics & Engineering Aptitude Part ‘C’ shall contain subject related MCQgenerally covering the topics in the syllabus.
