After completing B.Com you can participate in CDS exam for joining Indian Army. CDS exams are conducted by UPSC twice a year. Here is the CDS exam eligibility: Male candidates can apply for IMA, AFA, NA and OTA and female candidates can apply only for OTA. The education qualification for applying in CDS is as follows: AFA: should have studied Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level along with a degree from recognized university or bachelor degree in engineering /technology. Women candidates can not apply for Air force academy. IMA: should have a degree from recognized university. Yes , you are eligible to join Indian Army. To join in Indian army you have to apply and clear the CDS(Combined Defense Service) examination. Eligibility criteria for CDS exam : Qualification: Candidate should have graduation degree from any UGC recognized university. Candidate appearing in final year exam of graduation course eligible to apply. Nationality : Candidate should be a citizen of India. Age criteria: Indian Military Academy 19-24 Years Candidate must be physically fit. Selection procedure: Written test, Personal interview, Medical test. UPSC CDS Syllabus: English Syllabus The question paper is designed to test your understanding of English and workmanlike use of words. Questions in English are from Synonyms, Antonyms, Reading Comprehension, Para Jumbles, Error Spotting, Jumbled Sentences, Sentence Correction and Fill in the Blanks. General Knowledge Syllabus General Knowledge including knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observation and experience in scientific aspects as may be expected of an educated person who has not made a special study of any scientific subject. The paper also includes questions on History of India and Geography of a nature. Elementary Mathematics Syllabus Arithmetic Number System - Natural numbers, Integers, Rational and Real numbers. Fundamental operations addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, Square roots, Decimal fractions. Unitary method - time and distance, time and work, percentages, applications to simple and compound interest, profit and loss, ratio and proportion, variation.
