Selection Procedure:
Recruitment to the medical posts will be on the basis of Permanent Commission (PC) and Short Service Commission (SSC).

Permanent Commission
Age for the MBBS applicants should be Max. 30 years.
Aspirants must posses a medical qualification of an Indian University or a foreign medical qualification recognised by the Medical Council of India. They must also be registered with any of the state councils or equivalent registering authority.
Selection is held once a year in Jul / Aug at Delhi. Advertisement published in National / Regional newspapers in Mar/Apr every year.

Short Service Commission
Age for the MBBS Aspirants should be Max. 45 Years
Notification for the post of doctors (married/unmarried – male and female) through SSC are published in leading newspapers once a year.
Eligible Aspirants are called for interview at New Delhi to assess their merit and suitability for grant of Short Service Commission in the Army Medical Corps.
Based on the results of the interview, Aspirants who have been short listed are subjected to medical examination at designated Armed Forces hospitals in New Delhi.
Medically fit Aspirants are granted commission subject to verification procedures as deemed necessary as required for commissioning.

Army Medical Corps Every year or twice a year invites application from doctors to join as Short Service Commissioned Medical Officers.

Eligibility

• Indian National
• Normal vision / Corrected vision of 6/6
• No physical disabilities
• MBBS Degree (House Surgeons can apply provided they complete their internship in time)
• Chest Expansion min 05 cms
• Female candidates should not be pregnant while enrollment
• Minimum dental points reqd- 14
• Skin diseases - Pmt Unfit
• Hernia/abdominal surgery in the past one year - temporarily unfit
• Hydrocele/varicocele - Pmt Unfit
• Chest expansion min 05 cms
• Cardiac murmurs
• Phymosis and Paraphymosis - Permanently unfit
• USG ,Chest Xray, X ray of long bones will be done
• Pregnancy - Pmt Unfit
• Blood Tests : Hb, TLC, DLC, ESR, Platelet Count, LFT, RFT, Serum Cholesterol, FBS
• All specialist examination including Gynecology examination for ladies

Salary –
All inclusive emoluments 70000/ month, take home 56800/-

Interview will be held at Research and Referral Hospital, Delhi.

• Few medical topics like Status Asthmaticus, Myocardial Infarction, Hepatitis, Infectious diseases- usual ones. No need to read about Brucellosis, Borreliosis, Q fever etc.
• Cardiac Murmurs and their causes. No need to go in depth
