The combined Biotechnology Entrance Exam for admission into MSC. Biotechnology, M.Sc.(Agri.) Biotechnology & M.V.Sc. and M. Tech in Biotechnology Programs is taken by Jawaharlal Nehru University New Delhi for different participating Universities.

Date and time of Entrance Examination: 19th May 2014 (09.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon)

Eligibility

Applicants must have Bachelor’s degree under 10+2+3 pattern of education in Physical, Biological, Agricultural, Veterinary and Fishery Sciences, Pharmacy, Engineering/Technology, 4-years B.Sc (Physician Assistant Course); or Medicine (MBBS) or BDS with at least 55% marks

Applicants who have passed the qualifying examinations in 2012 or thereafter including those who are appearing in 2014 are eligible to apply

Exam Pattern:
The question paper divided into two parts

Part-A will have multiple choice type questions at the level of 10+2 in the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology

There will be negative marking and for each wrong answer, ½ (half) mark will be deducted

Total marks for Part A will be (60 questions x 1 mark each) of 60 marks

Part-B questions from Physics, Mathematics, Biology (e.g., Botany, Zoology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Genetics and Molecular Biology) and Chemistry

There will be negative marking and for each wrong answer one mark will be deducted

Total marks for Part-B will be 60 questions x 3 marks each = 180 marks
