JNU Korean Language

I would like to take admission in the B.A. Hons in Korean language from the Jawaharlal Nehru University? Can you please tell me does the Jawaharlal Nehru University offer the B.A. Hons in Korean language? Tell me what is basic eligibility required for that? Also tell me about the fee structure required for that course?

The Centre for Korean Studies (CKS) is a unit of School of Language, Literature and Culture Studies (SLL&CS) at JNU. The Centre is one of the biggest academic centres of Korean Language, Literature and Culture Studies in Indian Subcontinent.

It offers B.A., M.A., M.Phil and Ph.D. programmes in Korean Language, Literature and Culture Studies.

List of courses offered:

B.A. Programme

The courses in B.A. Programme are designed in such a way that at the end of three years the students would have acquired not only a sound knowledge of the language but also of the culture, customs, society and literary history of Korea.

M.A. Programme

The M.A. courses in Korean programme are designed with an objective of taking the students to the high level of language skills through intensive and specialised lectures on literature, culture, society, history, linguistics, translation and interpretation.

M.Phil./PhD.

The M.Phil. Programme is of four semesters.A The first two semesters are for course work. A student of M.Phil.is expected to complete four courses carrying 4 credits each as part of their course work and submit a dissertation (8credits) latest by the end of the fourth semester for the award of M.Phil. Degree.
