JIPMER PG Entrance exam is a post graduate entrance exam conducted by Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Puducherry for admissions to Master of Surgery (MS) and Doctor of Medicine (MD) programmes in various courses offered under Clinical and Basic Clinical subjects.

JIPMER PG Eligibility Criteria:

The candidates must possess MBBS or an equivalent degree recognized by the Medical Council of India

A candidate must have completed the required period of 12 months of rotating internship on or before December 31, 2016

Indian Nationals, Overseas citizens of India and Foreign Nationals can apply for these programmes

JIPMER PG Exam Pattern:

The exam will be based on the syllabus as prescribed by the exam conducting authority, JIPMER, Puducherry.

The online question booklet will have questions based on Pre-Clinical, Para-Clinical and Clinical Phase.

Exam duration 3 hours

Exam mode Online

Number of questions 250 Multiple Choice Questions

Marking Scheme +4 for correct response and -1 for incorrect response
