The objective of M.Ch. Urology Program offered by Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Puducherry is to integrate basic and clinical sciences with intensive clinical mentoring and community based training; to facilitate students knowledge with hands on training and to assess competency based learning after specified period.

Eligibility

M.S. / DNB Degree in General Surgery of this Institute or any other Institute/ University recognized as equivalent there to by the Medical Council of India.

Application Fees

Fees for Applying for either DM/M.Ch or Fellowship Course:
i. General (UR)/OCI Rs.1500/- + Transaction Charges as applicable
ii. OBC Rs.1500/- + Transaction Charges as applicable
iii. SC/ST Rs.1000/- + Transaction Charges as applicable
iv. OPH Exempted From Application Fees

Fees for Applying for DM/M.Ch & Fellowship Course:
i. General (UR)/OCI Rs.2500/- + Transaction Charges as applicable
ii. OBC Rs.2500/- + Transaction Charges as applicable
iii. SC/ST Rs.1500/- + Transaction Charges as applicable
iv. OPH Exempted From Application Fees

Method of Selection for M.Ch. Course:

Computer Based Test (CBT) / online exam will consist of 100 MCQs in the concerned specialty and related fields. The duration of the examination will be 1hours.

All Questions will be of one best / correct response type having four alternatives.

Each answer with correct response shall be awarded four marks.

Negative marks will be given for incorrect responses marked correct.

For every incorrect response marked as correct 1 mark will be deducted.

Minimum cut-off shall be 50th percentile for admission.

Questions that are answered and Marked for Review will be considered as answered.
