Pattern

The JIPMER entrance examination will consists of 200 multiple choice objective type questions with four alternatives, equally distributed among English, Botany, Zoology, Physics and Chemistry. Duration of exam will be 150 minutes.

There will be no negative marking for wrong answers.

Jawaharlal Institute of Post-graduate Medical Education and Research entrance is directed by the institute situated in puducherry to offers admission in M.B.B.S. Course .

IPMER entrance exam is based on CBSE syllabus for 11th and 12th standard students.

The examination will be a Computer Based Test (CBT) / online.

(1) The examination shall be conducted in English medium only.

(2) The questions will be based on the syllabus for XI & XII Standard as prescribed by State Board Hr. Sec. and CBSE.

(3) The Entrance Examination is common to all and consists of 200 single best response type MCQs and will cover all subjects.

(4) The Entrance Examination will be of multiple choice type questions totaling 200 in the subjects of
Chemistry (60 Marks)
Biology (60 Marks)
Physics (60 Marks)
English (20 Marks).

Each answer with correct response shall be awarded one mark.

There is no Negative Marking.

Zero mark will be given for the question not answered.
