Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (JIIT) was established in 2001 and is an institute of higher education deemed university. It has 7 academic departments and offers programs in technical education at undergraduate, and doctorate level. All undergraduate and postgraduate programs of the institute are accredited by the National Board of Accreditation of AICTE.

Allocation of Seats


Seats in the study programs are allotted on the basis of preferences indicated at the time of counselling, strictly in order of overall All India Rank of JEE (Main) 2018

For the Biotechnology and Bioinformatics programs 50% of seats are allotted through JEE -2018 merits. The balance 50% seats in Biotechnology and Bioinformatics programs is allotted on the basis of merit at 10+2 level or equivalent for which separate application is required.

10% seats at JUIT, Waknaghat only are reserved for Himachal Pradesh (HP) category candidates in that one should have qualified the 10+2 exam from any of the schools/ institutions located in the state of Himachal Pradesh. Being a bonafide HP resident does not automatically qualify one for the HP quota seat.
