Can you tell me about the admission process in B Tech (Bachelor of Technology) Program offered by Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (JIIT), Noida?

Jaypee University of Information and Technology, JUIT, was set up in 2002 by Act No. 14 of 2002 vide Extraordinary Gazette notification of Govt. of Himachal Pradesh. The university as of today stands approved by the University Grants Commission, UGC under section 2(f) of the UGC Act.

Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (JIIT), Noida offer admission to 4 year Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech) Programmes, across JIIT Noida, JUIT Waknaghat, JUET Guna and Jayvee University Anoopshahrat through JEE (Mains) score.

Eligibility Criteria
For All Programs (Except Biology / Biotechnology based admission to Biotechnology and Bioinformatics Programs):

Criteria of subjects in 10+2 exam (JEE based admissions):

The minimum academic qualification for admission to any one of the programs is as laid down by JEE.
The candidate should have a pass in the 10+2 or its equivalent (as defined by JEE) with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and any one of Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, and Computer Science as optional subjects.

Criteria of Qualifying Exam
All candidates who are offered provisional admission will be required to produce proof of having passed the qualifying examination (10+2 or equivalent) to the University authority failing which, such provisional admission will stand cancelled.
If the results of qualifying examinations are likely to be declared the candidates are advised to seek admission next year as no representations for extension of dates, for any reason whatsoever, shall be entertained

Short-listing and Selection Process
The merit amongst applications received for admission to Jaypee Institute is drawn based only on the overall All India Rank of JEE (Main) examination
JEE Score /Ranking in any category or state including general etc. is not taken into account
The merit list for SC/ST candidates is made by applying the cut off 10% below the total rank (in JEE Main exam) obtained by one, short listed in the general category
