After completing a Diploma you cannot appear for the JEE Main Examination however you can still get admission t the engineering course through lateral entry.

The AICTE has educated that Diploma Holders in Engineering /Architecture /Pharmacy from different State Board of Technical Education, need not show up for JEE Main or some other entry passage. According to the standards, they are qualified for admissions to the second year of building through horizontal passage.

CBSE has set up a notification on its site expressing that it has seen numerous hopefuls with confirmations in Engineering/Architecture/Pharmacy who have connected for the JEE (Main) 2013.
