JEE after Diploma

Hi I would like to know if one can appear for JEE examination after completing Diploma or not as I have done my diploma and like to know if it is possible?

After completing a Diploma you cannot appear for the JEE Main Examination however you can still get admission t the engineering course through lateral entry.

The AICTE has educated that Diploma Holders in Engineering /Architecture /Pharmacy from different State Board of Technical Education, need not show up for JEE Main or some other entry passage.
