As I have not found the paper of the Junior Engineer diploma in civil engineering but still here I am giving you the syllabus of it on which the paper will be based.. The written section will consists of the following sections. 1. Aptitude Test 2. Technical Test. Syllabus: General Awareness General Intelligence General English. Reasoning Ability Arithmetic Ability Technical Ability(pertaining to the applied post) Total no. of question: 150 Time Duration: 2 hrs. Syllabus: General Intelligence & Reasoning : There will be questions from analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetic reasoning, verbal and figure classification, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding, statement conclusion, syllogistic reasoning. Arithmetic : In this section questions cover the Algebra Basic algebra, factors & simplification, polynomials, Arithmetic Simple & compound interest, installments, taxation, shares & dividends, Ratio & proportion, percentage, time, distance & work, profit & loss, Pipes & Cisterns, Mensuration, Problem on Ages, Investment etc.. From Data Interpretation Use of Tables and Graphs, Histogram, Frequency polygon, Bar-diagram, Pie-chart, Pictorial Graph etc. General Awareness : The question will be asked from Indian History, Indian Polity, Current Events, Geography, Economy etc. Focus will be on Current national & International events, banking, sports etc. Some questions from Finance & Marketing can be ask in the exam. Focus will be on News related to Railway, Rail Budget, New Technologies & Reform in Indian Railway. General Science : In this section , questions will be from Basic Concept of Science (Class 12th standard), Questions will be ask from Daily use science. Physics, Chemistry, Biology & Zoology. Technical Ability : The technical ability covers Subject/ Trade/ Branch select by candidate. For Section Engineer Some Mathematics questions from topics Laplace Transformation, Matrices, Basic Linear Algebra topics. The questions will be based on Mechanics, Structural Analysis, Concrete Structures, Steel Structures, Soil Mechanics, Fluid Mechanics and Hydraulics, Hydrology, Bridge Construction, Water requirements, Highway Planning, Traffic Engineering, Importance of surveying, principles and classifications, mapping concepts, coordinate system, map projections, measurements of distance and directions, leveling, theodolite traversing, plane table surveying, errors and adjustments, curves, Environmental Engineering, Estimating, Costing and Valuation & Building Materials. Mechanical Engineering : The questions include the topics like Engineering Mechanics, Strength of Materials, Theory of Machines, Design for static and dynamic loading, Fluid Mechanics, Heat Transfer, Thermodynamics, Power Engineering, Steam Tables, Rankine, Brayton cycles with regeneration and reheat, I.C. Engines: air-standard Otto, Diesel cycles, Metal Casting, Machining and Machine Tool Operations, Metrology and Inspection. Questions will be ask from basics of these Subjects & beam types. Electrical Engineering : This part includes the topics such as Basics of Circuits and Measurement Systems, Electric Circuits and Fields, Signals and Systems,Electrical Machines, Power Systems, Control Systems, Electrical and Electronic Measurements, Analog and Digital Electronics, Power Electronics and Drives. In Electrical Engineering Key Subject for RRB exam is Electrical Machines, Basics of circuit & Power Electronics. Electronics Engineering : In this part , questions include the topics like Electronic Devices: Energy bands in silicon, intrinsic and extrinsic silicon. Carrier transport in silicon: diffusion current, drift current, mobility, and resistivity. Generation and recombination of carriers.p-n junction diode, Zener diode, tunnel diode, BJT, JFET, MOS, MOSFET, LED, p-I-n and avalanche photo diode, Varactor Diode, Analog Circuits, Digital Circuits, Signal & Systems , Control System & Communication Basics. For Electronics & Communications people Focus on Basic & Fundamental Electronics Concept, Signal & Systems, Wireless Communication, Antennas, Arrays, EMFT. Computers Engineering : Computer Engineering section questions will be from MS Office; Computer fundamentals & organization; C , C++ & Java language; Information systems; DBMS; System programming; Operating systems; UNIX; SAD; Data & Network communication; Web technology & programming; Software Engineering, Computer Networks, Databases, Algorithms. Instrumentation & Measurement : This includes questions from Basics of Circuits and Measurement Systems, Transducers, Mechanical Measurement and Industrial Instrumentation, Analog Electronics, Digital Electronics, Signal Systems, Measurement System, Process Control, Control Systems & Instrumentation. Focus will be more on Transducers, Measurement & Control Systems. Some questions of Signal & System will be ask in the RRB exam. Junior Engineer (IT) : Questions related to topics such as MS Office; Computer fundamentals & organization; C , C++ & Java language; Information systems; DBMS; System programming; Operating systems; UNIX; SAD; Data & Network communication; Web technology & programming; Software Engineering; Environment & Pollution Control will be asked. Junior Engineer (Printing Press) : In this questions will be from Mathematics & Science including Physics, Chemistry, Environment & Pollution Control of class X standard; Printing techniques; Printing materials; Paper & Ink technology; Digital technology & Imaging; Control Application in Printing; Printing surface preparation; Offset Printing; Color science; Flexo & Gravure; Newspaper printing; Basic concepts of Computers section. Environment & Pollution Control : Questions comprises Nature of questions is Basie Type. It will be a test of General Engineering topics of Environment, Pollution Control Methods, Type of Pollution etc topics |

You are asking for the SSC Junior Engineer (Civil & Electrical) Exam & Syllabus. Here I am providing you the SSC Junior Engineer (Civil & Electrical) Exam & Syllabus. This is as follows: Interview (100 marks) Paper I: Objective type General Intelligence & Reasoning General Awareness Part A: General Engineering (Civil & Structural) Part B: General Engineering (Electrical) Part C: General Engineering (Mechanical) Paper II Conventional Type Part A: General Engineering (Civil & Structural) Part B: General Engineering (Electrical) Part C: General Engineering (Mechanical) 1. In Paper I and Paper II for General Engineering, the candidate can attempt any one part i.e. Part A or Part B or Part C. 2. Candidates are allowed to bring their own Slide–Rule, Non Programmable Calculator, Logarithm Tables and Steam Table for Paper-II only. They are not allowed for Paper I. 3. Candidates qualifying in Paper I only those will be evaluated Paper II. Mobile Phone or any other electronic / electrical device other than specified Calculator is not permitted. 4. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in Paper I. 5. Candidates, who secure at least the minimum qualifying marks in the written examination, are eligible to appear for Interview. The interview will be held at places as may be decided by the Commission. 6. SC/ST candidates called for interview will be paid TA as per Government Orders. However no TA is payable to any candidate for appearing in the written examination. 7. Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidate. Syllabus Questions in Engineering subjects will be approximately of the level of Diploma in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical etc) from a recognized Institute, Board or University and recognized by All India Board of Technical Education. All the questions will be set in SI units. The details of the syllabus are given below: PAPER I – Part I (General Intelligence & Reasoning) The Syllabus for General Intelligence would include questions of both verbal and non-verbal type, it includes questions on: Analogies Similarities Differences Space visualization Problem solving Analysis Judgement Decision making Visual memory Discrimination Observation Relationship concepts Arithmetical reasoning Verbal and figure classification Arithmetical number series. The test will also include questions designed to test the candidate’s abilities to deal with abstract ideas and symbols and their relationships, arithmetical computations and other analytical functions. PAPER II – Part II (General Awareness) Questions will be aimed at testing the candidate's general awareness of the environment around him/her and its application to society. Questions will be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of any educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and neighbouring countries especially pertaining to: History Culture Geography Economic Scene General Polity Scientific Research PAPER II – Part III (General Engineering) A.
