Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) Program of Directorate of Distance, University of Jammu aims at developing the understanding and competencies required to practicing teachers for effective teaching-learning process.

It provides knowledge and develops an understanding on areas such as educational evaluation, school management, child psychology, etc

Duration:
The minimum duration of the program is two years. However, the maximum period allowed for completion of the program will be five years.

Eligibility Criteria:
Admission to the B. Ed course through distance education mode shall be open to the candidates who have followings:

i) Candidates must have passed bachelor’s degree examination in Arts, Science, Social Sciences, Commerce, Medicine, Veterinary Science and Forestry conducted by the University of Jammu or an examination from any other University recognized as equivalent.

ii) Candidates must have serving as full time teachers in the recognized school within the territorial jurisdiction of the University of Jammu.

iii) Candidates must have minimum of 2 years teaching experience.

Admission Process:
Admission process shall be made through counseling on the basis of merit

Fee Structure:
Admission Fee and other charges: Rs 17,070/-

Eligibility Fee: Rs.550/- For the candidate not already registered with University of Jammu
Registration Fee: 225/- Candidates migration from other Universities
Revival of Registration: 310/-
Revival in the absence of Migration Certificate with an affidavit: Rs.1080
Application fee/processing charges with online form: Rs.550/-


Important Dates of 2014:
Application forms will be available on website from: 11th August, 2014
i) Without late fee from 11th August 2014 to 25th August 2014
ii) With late fee of Rs.80/- from 26th August 2014 to 01st Sept., 2014

The counseling schedule shall be displayed on our website on 08th Sept., 2014
