Joint Admission Test for M.Sc. (IIT JAM) is national level exam that is conducted by IISc or IIT rotationally. Key dates Commencement of Online Registration and Application Form 2nd September 2016 Last Date for Registration and Uploading of Documents on the Website 13th October 2016 (extended) Last Date for Payment of Application Fee through Online process 13th October 2016 Admit Card Download Date 10th January 2017 JAM 2017 Entrance Exam 12th February 2017 Answer Key Release date 28th February 2017 Result announcement 24th March 2017 Score Card 31st March 2017 31st July 2017 Submission of Application Form for Admission 12th April to 27th April 2017 Last Date for receipt of request for change of category/rectification of defective documents at IIT Delhi 8th May 2017 Declaration of First Admission List 31st May 2017 Declaration of Second Admission List 16th June 2017 Declaration of Third and Final Admission List 30th June 2017 Admission Closed on 5th July 2017 Application Fee: Applicants can pay the application form fee through online mode only. The application fee is Rs. 750/- (for one paper) or 1050/- (for two paper) for Female (all cat.)/SC/ST/PwD. For Gen. and OBC Applicants, the fee is Rs. 1500/- (for one paper) or 2100/- (for two paper). Eligibility Applicants must have a Bachelor s degree. Applicants belong to the General/OBC-NCL Category, have to get at least 55% aggregate marks in the qualifying degree, without rounding off. Candidates who belong to the SC/ST and PwD Category Candidates, they have to qualify 50% aggregate marks without rounding off in the qualifying degree. JAM Exam Pattern The IIT JAM exam pattern is listed below. Type: Objective type test Mode: Computer Based Test No. of questions: 60 divided in three section viz. A, B, C Marking Scheme: 60 questions carrying 100 marks Negative Marking: There will be no negative marking in Section B and Section C.
