Jain University was established in 1990 as Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain College (SBMJC). It was conferred deemed university status vide notification No.F-9-57/2007-U.3 (A) Ministry of HRD, GOI 19 December 2008 and 24 July 2009.
