UG Admission Requirements:
1.Candidate should pass 10+2 exam.
2.To Admission to undergraduate programmes in the university the candidate must have to appear in West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination.

3.after entrance exam counseling process be held.

Selection process:
For admission to the undergraduate programmes in the Faculty of Arts : a combination of merit (i.e. results at the +2 level) and entrance test is used.

For admission to the undergraduate programmes in the Faculty of Science, admission at the undergraduate level is based on merit.

Departments have autonomy to decide upon admission criteria.

PG Admission Requirements:

To Admission to PG programmes in the university In the Faculty of Science, is on the basis of merit (BSc results) with entrance test, conducted by individual departments.

1.To Admission to PG programmes in the university the candidate must have to appear in GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) exam.

2. For GATE applicants, their GATE score is given a 70% weightage,

3. BE or BTech scores given 50% weightage;

4. 10% weightage being given to experience in industry for students sponsored by industry.

5. To Admission to PG programmes in the university In the Faculty of Arts, the BA (Honours) results and admission tests conducted by individual departments determine admission.
