PhD Eligibility-

Engineering: candidates must pass UG and/or PG level examination with first division.

Science: Candidates should have minimum of 55% at PG level

Management: Candidates must have minimum of 60% at PG level

Computer Applications: Candidates must have minimum of 60% at PG level

Humanities Candidates must have minimum of 55 % at PG level

Structure of Examination:

Paper I Common to all 60 questions for duration of 45 minutes
General Analytical Skills /mental ability including reasoning
Communication Skills (up to 12th Standard) Objective type
Research Methodology

Question will be asked to test research aptitude of the candidate

Paper II

FOUNDATION OF RELEVANT SUBJECT

Component A: Objective type; 40 questions for duration of 30 minutes
Component B: Descriptive type of questions of one hour duration

Interview: At the time of interview the candidates are expected to discuss their research interest/ area, choice of supervisors/co-supervisor and proposed title of thesis.
