Indian army is the military force while ITBP is a paramilitary force. Paramilitary forces helps the Indian army forces closely in securing national frontiers and are led by the officers of Indian army. Firstly let me brief you about the ITBP force: The term "paramilitary forces" in India has not been defined in any acts or by any authorities officially however they are conventionally used to demote to three forces i.e. Assam Rifles, Special Frontier Force and Indian Coast Guard. Indo-Tibetan Border Police is a Force synonym to adventure. Serving in such a Armed Force is dare-devilish as well as challenging.There are many ways to respect Nature and joining ITBP is one of them. Some of the striking features of the Force are - skiing, mountaineering , trekking, river rafting and the thrill of proximity to the mountains. The lure of the snow, mountains as well as adventure provide ample opportunities to the young at heart to perform daring feats, serving the country along with an excellent career, pay and service perks. The Force employs young men at the four levels of Assistant Commandant - Sub-Inspector - Head Constable - Constable. Now a brief about Indian Army: The Department of Defence deals with Integrated Defence Staff (IDS) as well as 3 Services and various Inter Service Organisations. It is also accountable for the Defence Budget, establishment matters, defence policy, matters relating to Parliament, defence co-operation with foreign countries and co-ordination of all defence related activities. Indian Army comprises of the following: The Armoured Corps The Regiment of Artillery Army Air Defence Army Aviation Corps The Corps of Engineers The Corps of Signals Mechanised Infantry Infantry Army Service Corps Army Medical Corps Army Dental Corps Army Ordnance Corps The training for the Army is held by these well esteemed establishments: Inter Services Establishments Army Establishments Training Team Rashtriya Military Schools IGNOU-Army Education Project (IAEP) The Department of Defence Production is headed by a Secretary and also deals with matters pertaining to defence production, indigenisation of imported stores, equipment and spares, planning and control of departmental production units of the Ordnance Factory Board and Defence Public Sector Undertakings (DPSUs). The Department of Defence Research and Development is headed by a Secretary, who is Scientific Adviser to the Raksha Mantri. Its purpose is to advise the Government on scientific aspects of military equipment and logistics as well as the formulation of research, design and development plans for equipment required by the Services. The Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare is headed by a Secretary and also deals with all resettlement, welfare and pensionary matters of Ex-Servicemen. |
