Can you tell me about the Education eligibility requirement for the post of SI or Sub-Inspector (Telecommunication) in ITBP or Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force?

Indo-Tibetan Border Police was conceived in 1962 and was initially raised under the CRPF Act, however in 1992, the parliament enacted the ITBPF Act and rules there under were framed in 1994. Presently its Commando’s are providing security to Embassy of India Kabul,Consulate General of India, Jalalabad and Khandar in Afghanistan since November, 2002. Besides this 02 Coys of ITBP are providing security to BRO personnel for their Delaram – Zaranj road construction project in Afghanistan since July 2004. Sub-Inspector (Telecommunication) Education Eligibility (i) Bachelors degree in Science with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Information Technology or Computer Science or Electronics and Communication or Electronics and Instrumentation from a recognized University or Institution; Or (ii) Bachelor in Computer Application from a recognized University or Institution; or (iii) B.E. in Electronics and Communication or Instrumentation or Computer Science or Electrical or Information Technology from a recognized University or Institution; Or (iv) Associate Member of Institution of Electronics and Communication or Instrumentation or Computer Science or Electrical or Information Technology Engineers or equivalent from a recognized University or Institution. Age Age between 20 to 25 years Age relaxation available to different category of eligible candidates, for claiming Age Relaxation are as under: SN Category Age- Relaxation permissible beyond the upper age limit 1 SC/ST 5 years 2 OBC 3 years 3 Ex-Servicemen (Unreserved/ General) 3 years after deduction of the military service rendered from the actual age. 4 Ex-Servicemen (OBC) 6 years (3 years + 3 years) after deduction of the military service rendered from the actual age. 5 Ex-Servicemen (SC/ST) 8 years (3 years +5 years) after deduction of the military service rendered from the actual age. 6 Government servant 5 years in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Central Government. 7 Candidates who had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from 1st January 1980 to 31st December, 1989. (Unreserved) 5 years 8 Candidates who had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from 1st January 1980 to 31st December, 1989. (OBC) (3+5) 8 years 9 Candidates who had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from 1st January 1980 to 31st December, 1989. (SC/ST) (5+5) 10 years 10 Children and dependent of victims KILLED in the 1984 riots OR communal riots of 2002 in Gujarat (Unreserved) 5 years 11 Children and dependent of victims KILLED in the 1984 riots OR communal riots of 2002 in Gujarat (OBC) (3+5) 8 years 12 Children and dependent of victims KILLED in the 1984 riots OR communal riots of 2002 in Gujarat (ST/ST) (5+5) 10 years |
