Master of Business Administration (MBA) program offered by ISU or Illinois State University in Chicago has been consistently recognized as one of the best by prestigious institutions such as The Princeton Review, U.S. News & World Report, and Aspen Institute. Admission Requirements • Performance on the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT). GMAT requirements are waived for : applicants with an advanced degree (master or higher); or • those who have a GPA of 3.0 or above in the last 60 collegiate semester credit hours along with minimum 7 years of full-time professional experience after college graduation at business or a government institution. • Undergraduate GPA earned during the last 60 credit hours of undergraduate work. • Other indicators of potential for success in the graduate study of business including recommendations, and personal essays, as well as previous work, supervisory, customer service and international experience. • Admission to any graduate program is dependent upon admission to the Graduate School of Illinois State University. • One need to submit a Graduate School application, official transcripts, and GMAT results to the Graduate Admission Office. Core required Courses (9 courses, 27 credit hours) • o Business Perspectives and Leadership o Management Information Systems o Research Methodology o Organizational Behavior o Financial Management o Advanced Marketing Management o Management Accounting o Operations and Quality Management o Advanced Organizational Strategy • Core elective courses (3 courses, 9 credit hours) Students as a group select three elective courses by voting. Electives are available from a variety of business disciplines including insurance and financial services, integrated marketing strategies, project management, and advanced organizational theory. |
