The UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) is combined written examination is conducted for the IES (Indian Economic Services) and ISS (Indian Statistical Services) every year. This recruitment process by UPSC for ISS vacancies is for the Grade 4 openings. Number of Posts for Indian Statistical Services (ISS): 29 Eligibility: The post of Indian Statistical Services (ISS): You would have to Post-Graduate degree in Statistics or Mathematical Statistics or Applied Statistics from any institute or university which is recognized by the government. |

Indian Statistical Service Examination is conducted by UPSC. There is a combined competitive examination for recruitment to Grade IV officers of the services of Indian Economic and Indian Statistic is conducted by the UPSC. Eligibility Criteria: Age - limits: 21-30 years on 1st January of the year of Examination Certain categories of persons as specified in the notice are eligible for age relaxation. Educational Qualification: For Indian Statistical Service Post Grade Degree from an Indian university in Statistics/Applied Statistics/Mathematical Statistics.
