ISAT 2013 Examination dates are still not announced, prepare yourself for this examination. Whenever its notification will announce we will let you know about it.

ISAT 2013 Eligibility Criteria:

-Candidate having citizenship on of INDIA are only eligible for this examination.
-OBC and General Category candidates who are born ON or AFTER first week of October, 1988 and the candidates of SC and ST category, who are born ON or AFTER the first week of October, 1983 are eligible as per ISAT 2013
-The Date of Birth Eligibility Criteria will be check against the date mentioned in the First Board/High School/ its equivalent exam.
-if Candidate’s certificate doesn’t mention the date of birth, a PROOF issued by Competent Authority has to be submitted by the candidate at the time of counselling
-General and OBC candidates passed with minimum 70% in Chemistry, mathematics and Physics (PCM) and 60% for the SC/ST/PD candidates in PCM are eligible.

Admission to Undergraduate Programmes (B.Tech) of IIST is based on the All India Rank List to be prepared and published by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

Candidates who want to join B.Tech programmes in IIST need to appear for the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi to qualify themselves to appear for Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) conducted by IITs and secure the minimum prescribed category-wise marks in JEE (Advanced) as given below:-

(a) General Candidates (GEN): At least 20% marks in aggregate and at least 5% marks in each of the three subjects (Physics Chemistry and Mathematics).

(b) Other Backward Community – Non Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL) Candidates: At least 18% marks in aggregate and at least 4.5% marks in each of the three subjects (Physics Chemistry and Mathematics).

(c) Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe(ST) & Persons with Disabilities(PD) Candidates: At least 10% marks in aggregate and at least 2.5% marks in each of the three subjects (Physics Chemistry and Mathematics).

B.Tech. Programmes

1. B.Tech in Aerospace Engineering:
The programme in IIST is oriented towards the needs of space technology, and has significant overlap with Mechanical Engineering including Mechanical Design and Manufacturing Science and Space Dynamics.

Candidates with B.Tech degree in Aerospace Engineering can further specialize in Flight Mechanics, Aerodynamics, Thermal and Propulsion, Structure and Design, and Manufacturing Science.

2. B.Tech. in Avionics:
The programme covers what is typically covered in Electronics and Communications programmes and in addition, provides exposure to Advanced Electronics in digital and communication, control systems and computer systems used in aerospace systems.

Candidates with B.Tech degree in Avionics can later specialize in areas like DSP, RF & Communication, Antenna, Power Electronics, Micro Electronics, Control System etc.

3. B.Tech. in Physical Sciences: This programme is oriented towards application of basic sciences in Space Science, Space Technology and Space Application.

The programme lays a strong foundation in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and gives exposure to important applications of space technology such as Remote Sensing and GIS, Astronomy and Astrophysics, and Earth System Sciences.

Candidates with B.Tech degree in Physical Science can later specialize in areas like Atmospheric and Ocean sciences, Solid Earth Science, Astronomy and Astrophysics, Remote Sensing & GIS, and Chemical Systems. The curriculum has the blend of basic science and engineering.
