Here I am giving you information about required eligibility to apply for Indian police service examination organized by union public service examination below Eligibility : You have to passed a graduate degree in any discipline of any well recognized of the Universities Age limit : You must be at least 21 years of age at the time of filling the Civil Services (Preliminary) Exam form Maximum age : Not more than 30 years of age.. Physical requirement Height – Male 165 cm & ST (not the SC/ OBC) – 160 cm Female 150 cm & ST (not SC/ OBC)- 145 cm Chest – Male Minimum 84 cm. Expansion 5 cm. Female Min 79 cm expansion 5 cm. General Studies Paper - I 200 Marks General Studies Paper - II 200 Marks UPSC Preliminary Examination Syllabus 2014 Syllabus of Paper I -(200 marks) Duration : Two hours Current events of national and international importance. History of India and Indian National Movement. Indian and World Geography-Physical, Social, Economic. Geography of India and the World. Indian Polity and Governance-Constitution, Political. System, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights Issues, etc. Economic and Social Development-Sustainable. Development, Poverty, Inclusion, Demographics, Social. Sector Initiatives, etc. General issues on Environmental ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate Change - that do not require subject specialization and Climate Change - that do not require subject specialization. The Indian Police Service or IPS, is one of the three All India Services of the Government of India. In order to become an IPS Officer, you should have to crack civil services examination. This Exam is being conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) once in a year. IPS Officer required eligibility criteria Academic Requirements You should have completed Graduation with any of the steam from a recognized university. Candidates who are pursuing final year of Graduation are also eligible to give this exam but they should be able to show the proof of passing in graduation when they appear for Interview. Age limit : General category should be in the age group of 21-30 years to be eligible for this exam. Relaxation is there in upper age limit upto 3 years for the candidates of OBC category. For the candidates of SC/ST category, relaxation is there in upper age limit upto 5 years. Relaxation is there in upper age limit upto 10 years for the candidates with physical disabilities. Selection Procedure CSAT (Civil Services Aptitude Test) Civil Services Main Examination Interview You have to get very high score in the written exam to be placed in IPS. Else you might be placed in other civil services. |
