Indian Police Service (IPS) Exam for the recruitment of Indian applicants for the different Posts in Indian Civil Services conducts by Government of India. Eligibility criteria: Applicants must have degree in any discipline from any University recognised by Government. Applicants age should be between 21 and 30 years. Total no. of attempts should be 4 times and for SC/ St category the no. of attempts is 7. Exam pattern: Paper I Objective Type –- 200 Marks Paper II Objective Type - 200 Marks Interview - 200 Marks. Paper III English Language Descriptive Type - 200 Marks Paper IV Essay - Descriptive Type - 200 Marks Paper V General Descriptive Type - 200 Marks IPS 2015 Exam Date:- CIVIL SERVICES (PRELIMINARY) EXAM 2015:- Date of commencement of Examination:- 23.08.2015 (SUNDAY) Duration of the Exam:- 1 DAY CIVIL SERVICES (MAIN) EXAM 2015:- Date of commencement of Examination:- 18.12.2015 (FRIDAY) Duration of the Exam:- 5 DAYS |

IPS is the abbreviated form of the Indian Police Service . The exam is for the recruitment of Indian aspirants for the different Posts in Indian Civil Services conducts by Government of India. Eligibility criteria: Candidates must have degree in any discipline from any University recognised by Government. Students age should be between 21 and 30 years. Total no. of attempts should be 4 times and for SC/ St category the no. of attempts is 7. Indian Police Service Physical Eligibility Criteria: The Medical standards for Technical Services are stringent. As physical standards are important which comprises weekly run for 10 k.m. in 1 hour route march for 25 k.m. UAC, Horse riding, rock climbing, assault course, PT obstacles, rope climbing etc. Technical services are IRTS, IPS, DANI PS, CISF, RPF & other Police organization. The services are divided into technical and non-technical. Chest Female Min 79 cm expansion 5 cm. – Male Minimum 84 cm. Expansion 5 cm. Many people fail in this test of chest expansion. Height – Female 150 cm Pahari Female (general also) & ST (not SC/ OBC)- 145 cm Male 165 cm Pahari Male (general also) & ST (not the SC/ OBC) – 160 cm Eye sight – 6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye. 6/12 or 6/9 for worst eye. The correction is by lenses only. High standard for the Colour-blind test. No inherent night blindness. Vision should stereoscopic. Near vision J 1 for good eye. J2 for worst eye. Nasal- aspirants should not stammer while speaking. Blood pressure (High) – Age 23 – 123, age 24 – 124, age 25 –122, age 28 – 124, age 30 –125, age 32 – 126, age 34 – 127. Ladies should not be pregnant at the time of Medical Test. |

You want to appear for IPS Exam, IPS is Indian Police Service for that you want to know about eligibility of this exam, so here I am giving you information about eligibility. Eligibility: Age limit Candidate must have minimum 21 year age. Candidate must have maximum 33 year age. For OBCs and SCs/STs candidate age criteria is 35 years. Number of Attempts A general candidate can take four attempts. For OBCs seven attempts. For SCs/STs there is no limit of attemts. Physical Requirement Height – Male 165 cm Pahari Male (general also) & ST (not the SC/ OBC) – 160 cm Female 150 cm Pahari Female (general also) & ST (not SC/ OBC)- 145 cm Chest – Male Minimum 84 cm. Expansion 5 cm. Female Min 79 cm expansion 5 cm. Eye sight – 6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye. |

The entrance exam for IPS (Indian Police Service) is conducted by Government of India for the recruitment for the different posts in Indian Civil Services. Eligibility Criteria for IPS Exam: Must have degree in any discipline from any recognized University Age limit- 21 years minimum 30 years maximum, Age relaxation is provided for reserved catagoy 33 for OBCs and 35 for SCs/STs .
