IPS (Indian Police Services) exam is held by Union public service commission (UPSC) every year. Educational and age requirement The candidate should be a citizen of India/ Nepal/ Bhutan and a graduate in any disciple to apply. The applicant should be between the age of 21 – 30 years but the age is relaxed by 5 years for certain category (SC/ST) candidates. Dates CIVIL SERVICES (PRELIMINARY) EXAM 2015:- Date of commencement of Examination:- 23.08.2015 (SUNDAY) Duration of the Exam:- 1 DAY CIVIL SERVICES (MAIN) EXAM 2015:- Date of commencement of Examination:- 18.12.2015 (FRIDAY) Duration of the Exam:- 5 DAYS CIVIL SERVICES (PRELIMINARY) EXAM, 2014 DATE OF COMMENCEMENT OF EXAM:- 24.08.2014 (SUNDAY) Apply online on website:- Closing Date:- 30-06-2014 CIVIL SERVICES (MAIN) EXAM., 2014 DATE OF COMMENCEMENT OF EXAM:- 14.12.2014 (SUNDAY) Syllabus; 1. Current events of national and international importance 2. History of India and Indian national movement 3. Indian and World Geography – physical, social, economic geography of India and the world 4. Indian Polity and governance – Constitution, political system, Panchayati Raj, public policy, Rights issues, etc. 5. Economic and social development – sustainable development, poverty, inclusion, demographics, social sector initiatives etc. 6. General issues on environmental ecology, bio-diversity and climate change – that do not require subject specialization 7. General Science General Studies Paper II Maximum marks : 200 Number of Questions : 80 Total Time : 120 minutes (02 hours) 1. Comprehension 2. Interpersonal skills including communication skills 3. Logical reasoning and analytical ability 4. Decision making and problem solving 5. General mental ability 6. Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude etc. – Class X level), Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc. – Class X level) 7. English language comprehension skills (Class X level) |

As you want I am here telling you about the important date for IPS exam 2015. IPS 2015 Exam Date:- Civil Services (Preliminary) Exam 2015:- Date of Notification:- 16.05.2015 Last date for receipt of applications:- 12.06.2015 (FRIDAY) Date of commencement of Examination:- 23.08.2015 (SUNDAY) Duration of the Exam:- 1 DAY Civil Services (Main) Exam 2015:- Date of commencement of Examination:- 18.12.2015 (FRIDAY) Duration of the Exam:- 5 DAYS IPS exam Pattern: Preliminary Examination:- The Examination shall comprise of two compulsory papers of 200 marks each. (i) Both the question papers will be of the objective type (multiple choice questions). (ii) The question papers will be set both in Hindi and English. However, questions relating to English Language Comprehension skills of Class X level will be tested through passages from English Language only without providing Hindi translation thereof in the question paper. Each paper will be of two hours duration. Blind candidates will however, be allowed an extra time of twenty minutes for each paper.
