The Institute of Education and Research (I.E.R.) is a postgraduate College of Education of the University of the Punjab, Lahore.

The Institute was established in September 1960 in cooperation with the School of Education, Indiana University, USA.

It is the pioneer Institute in Pakistan for advanced studies in the field of Education.

B.Ed in Technical Education

Duration - 1 Year

Admission Criteria

D.A.E. (Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Architecture, Civil) + B.Tech (Hons);
OR
Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Architecture, Civil, Textile, Ceramics);
OR
Bachelor of IT & Computer Science;
OR
Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Home Economics; B. Arch: B.F.A.

Selection of candidates:

The selection of candidates for the study programme will be done by selection committee strictly following the selection criteria and provincial quota.

M.Phil in Education (Regular)

Eligibility

Masters' Degree in Education or equivalent (16 years of education;130 credit hours) as per HEC rules.

All candidates will have to qualify admission test and interview conducted by the Institute.

The candidates must have to qualify the written test with 50% marks for M.Phil.

The candidate must obtain ≥19 out of 40 marks in academic merit.

M.Phil in Education (Evening) Weekend-

Eligibility

Masters' Degree in Education or equivalent (16 years of education;130 credit hours) as per HEC rules.

All candidates will have to qualify admission test and interview conducted by the Institute.

The candidates must have to qualify the written test with 50% marks for M.Phil.

The candidate must obtain ≥19 out of 40 marks in academic merit.

Ph.D in Education (Regular)

Eligibility

M.Phil / M.S / Equivalent degree in Education in First Division / CGPA > 3.00/4.00 from a HEC recognized University.

All candidates will have to qualify admission test and interview conducted by the Institute.

The candidates must have to qualify the written test with 70% marks for Ph.D.

The candidate must obtain ≥19 out of 40 marks in academic merit.

Ph.D in Education (Evening) Weekend

Eligibility

M.Phil / M.S / Equivalent degree in Education in First Division / CGPA > 3.00/4.00 from a HEC recognized University.

All candidates will have to qualify admission test and interview conducted by the Institute.

The candidates must have to qualify the written test with 70% marks for Ph.D.

The candidate must obtain ≥19 out of 40 marks in academic merit.

PGD in Montessori Education

Duration - One Year
