The Department of Health & Family Welfare was responsible for the management of all Institutions of Ayurveda in the state, besides allopathy.
The Indian systems of Medicine and Homoeopathy have played historically a vital role in the Health care systems of the State of Himachal Pradesh.
This department includes the Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Sidha and Homoeopathy systems of medicines.

Educational Qualifications:
The candidate should have Matric or equivalent recognized by H.P. Board/University.
The candidate should have recognized degree in Ayurveda of not less than 05 years duration from a recognized University/ Board established by law or institution recognized by the Central/State Govt. /CCIM.
Compulsory Rotatory Internship wherever required by the Central Council of Indian Medicine.
