Visiting Scientist:
Eligibility Conditions:
Candidates must have passed PhD degree in the relevant subject

Age:
Candidates will be preferred who are below 45 years

Salary:
(a) Rs.25,000 per month plus HRA (for those to whom the degree yet to be awarded)
(b) Rs.30,000 – 40,000 per month plus HRA (for those to whom the degree newly awarded).
(c) Minimum Rs. 50,000/- for Senior Scientists.

Assistant Professors:
Eligibility Conditions:
Candidates must have passed Ph.D. degree in the relevant subject, and consistently strong academic record.

Candidates must have passed 3 years’ post-doctoral research and/or teaching experience (relaxable in exceptional cases).

Age:
Candidates will be preferred who are below 35 years.

Salary:
PB-3 - Rs.15,600 – 39,100 with minimum pay of Rs.30,000 with Grade Pay of Rs. 8,000 plus allowances. After completion of 3 years’ service in PB-3, they will be placed in PB-4 – Rs.37,400 – 67,000 with Grade Pay of Rs.9,000 plus allowances.

Associate Professor / Professor:
Eligibility Conditions:
Candidates must have passed Ph.D. degree in the relevant subject, and consistently strong academic record.

Candidates must have 6 years’ research and/or teaching experience for Associate Professor (relaxable in exceptional cases).

Candidates must have 12 years’ research and/or teaching experience for Professor (relaxable in exceptional cases).

Applicants for the position of Professor must have proven record of outstanding academic leadership and research guidance.

Salary:
For associate professor, salary will be in PB-4 - Rs.37,400 – 67,000 with minimum pay of Rs.42,800 with Grade Pay of Rs. 9,500 plus allowances. For professor, salary will be in PB-4 - Rs.37,400 – 67,000 with minimum pay of Rs.48,000 with Grade Pay of Rs. 10,500 plus allowances.
