Hons) in Chemistry, with 2nd rank, from Presidency College (presently Presidency University), Calcutta (now Kolkata) and was awarded the Cunningham Memorial Prize in Chemistry. In 1937, he completed his Master in Science (M.Sc.) Chemistry and in 1940 his Master in Science (M.Sc.) in Applied Mathematics from the University College of Science, University of Calcutta, About the Career He worked as a Research Physicist, under the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research(CSIR,India) scheme on the design and development of Air-Driven Ultracentrifuge, at the Palit Laboratory of Physics, University of Calcutta, 1944 1948. In 1946 he designed and constructed a Vacuum Type Air Driven Ultracentrifuge. He was awarded an UNESCO Special Fellowship on the study of High Speed Computing Machines in the United States of America and the United Kingdom during 1949 50 and worked at Harvard University , Institute of Advanced Studies, Princeton, USA and at the Mathematical Laboratory, University of Cambridge, U.K. For more Information you may contact to the Indian Statistical Institute The contact Detials are given below Contact Detials : Indian Statistical Institute Address: Plot No. 203, Barrackpore Trunk Road, Kolkata, West Bengal 700108 Phone: 033 2575 2001 Last edited by pawan; 27th October 2017 at 12:30 PM. |
