Production

The Pashmina goat or Changthangi as it's called in Kashmir, sheds its winter coat every spring.

One goat sheds approximately 80–170 g (3–6 ounces) of the fibre.

In the spring (the moulting season), the goats naturally shed their under fleece, which regrows in winter.

The raw Pashmina wool is transported to the valley of Kashmir in northern India, where it is entirely hand processed.
