Yes, you are the eligible to apply for the Indian Navy after B.Sc, for this you need to appear in the Combined Defence Service Examination and this examination is conducted by UPSC twice in a year. Here are the details of it: Eligibility: The applicant should have completed B.Sc. with Physics and/or Mathematics or Bachelor of Engg from any recognized university of India. Tentative Schedule: (Examination held twice a year) Notification of Examination August and March Conduct of Examination February and August Combined Defense Service Exam syllabus: Arithmetic: Aspirants need to perform well in arithmetic which includes Number System, Fundamental Operations, Unitary Methods, and Elementary Number Theorems etc. Algebra: The applicants should able to solve basic operations, Remainder Theorem, Quadratic Equations, Linear equations and practical problems etc. Geometry: The candidates should able to answer geometric questions which contain Lines and angles, plane and plane figures and their related questions. Trigonometry: The applicants need to know the values of Sine x, cosine x and tangent x. Menstruation: The all candidates applying for the test should have knowledge of calculating areas of squares, rectangles, triangles, circles and parallelograms etc. Statistics: Everyone needs to know the collection and tabulation of data, histograms, pie and bar charts etc. |

To join Indian Navy as an officer you have to clear a CDS exam. CDS is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission twice a year for recruitment into the Indian Military Academy, Officers Training Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Indian Air Force Academy. CDS eligibility criteria- Indian Military Academy/Officers' Training Academy: Degree from a recognized university. Naval Academy: Bachelor of Engineering Air Force Academy: Degree of a recognized University with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level or Bachelor of Engineering Bachelor of Technology Age Limit- Indian Military Academy 19-24 years Air Force Academy 19-23 years Naval Academy 19-22 years Officers’ Training Academy 19-25 years CDS exam syllabus and paper pattern: For Admission to Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Air force Academy: Subject: Durations: Maximum Marks English: Two hours: 100 marks General Knowledge: Two hours: 100 marks Mathematics: Two hours: 100 marks For Admission to Officers: Subject: Durations: Maximum Marks English: Two hours: 100 marks General Knowledge: Two hours: 100 marks Syllabus: English: The question paper will be designed to test the candidates' understanding of English and workmanlike use of words. Set language and set nootation, Rational expressions and conditional indentities, Laws of indices. Trigonometry values of Sine x, cosine x and tangent x, simple trigonometric identities, use of trigonometric tables, simple cases of heights and distances Geometry Lines and angles, planes and plane figure, theorems on (i) Properties of angles t a point (II) Parallel lines, (iii) sides and angles of a triangle, (iv) Congruency of triangles, (v) similar trianagles, (vi) Concurrence of medians and altitudes (vii) Properties of angles, sides and diagonals of a parallelogram, rectangles and square (viii) Circles and its properties including tangents and normals (ix)Loci. Mensuration Areas of squares, rectangles, parallelograms, triangle and circle. Areas of figure which can be split up into these figures (Field Book), surface area and volume of cuboids lateral surface and volume of right circular cones and cylinder, surface area and volume of spheres. Statistics Collection and tabulation of staticticsl date, graphical representation, frequency polygons, histograms, bar charts, pie charts etc. measures of central tendency. |
