Hey , you want to join Indian navy it will be possible after passing 12th . After 10th class you can’t join Indian Navy . As for joining the Indian Navy you have to clear the entrance exam like NDA for which minimum eligibility is 12th pass.

NDA Eligibility:

1.Qalification :12th standard from the recognized board with PCM subjects.
2. Age :within 16 1/2 years to 19 years.
3. marital Status : unmarried Indian male .
4. Nationality : Indian

5.Medical Standard:
Good mental and physical health



Selection process:
1. Written exam
2. Interview
3. Medical exam

I have completed my 10th and I am interested to join Indian Navy so can you please tell me can I join this?

As you want to join Indian Navy but sorry to say you are not eligible for join Indian Navy because for it you have to write NDA exam and the eligibility of this exam is 12th passed so firstly do higher study and than apply for it.

Eligibility for NDA exam
Candidate should be Indian
Candidate must have completed 12th having Maths and Science subject
Should be medically and physically fit
Only unmarried male candidates are eligible

Age limit:
Age should be between 16.5-19 Years

Selection Procedure:
Written Test
SSB Interview
Medical test

You can join Navy after at least two years and then you can apply for NDA

No, you are not eligible for Indian Navy right now, first you have to complete 12th and then you may join. You must have to do 12th in Maths so first start 11th class with Science Maths.


Eligibility Criteria:

1. Age: between 17-20 years

2. Nationality: Indian and Gorkhas, subjects of Nepal, are also eligible

3. Marital Status: Unmarried male

4. Minimum Educational Qualification: Class 12th or equivalent with subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

5. Physical Standards: The candidate should be physically fit for enrolment into Indian Navy. This capability is tested by Physical Fitness Test (PFT).

6. Medical Standards:

(a) Medical examination will be conducted by authorized Military Doctors.

(b) Minimum height of 157 cm with proportionate body weight and proportionate chest with minimum expansion capability of 05 cms.

(c) Candidate should possess good mental and physical health

(d) Candidate should possess Color perception standard of CP II and Eyes Visual standards with glasses AND without glasses.

You can only join on the post of Soldier General Duty as its minimum qualification in Matric with 45%in aggregate. You can get variety of job after completing 12th and
B. Tech.

If you want to Join Indian Navy then you have to study Maths and Physics as compulsory subjects in 11th and 12th examination from a recognized Board then you are eligible for NDA Examination. This examination is conducted by UPSC, twice in a year and only unmarried male candidates between 16.5 to 19 years are eligible for NDA Exam.

To apply for NDA Exam, you must have fulfilled the given requirements:

~~ You must be in good physical and mental health and free from any disease
~~ The minimum acceptable height is 157.5 cms. (162.5 cms for Air-Force).
~~ Your chest should be well developed, Fully expanded chest should not be less than 81 cms. The minimum range of expansion after full inspiration should be 5 cms.

Vision standard for Naval candidates:

~~ Uncorrected without glass : 6/9
~~ Corrected with glass : 6/6
~~ Limits of Myopia : -0.75
~~ Limits of Hypermetropia : +1.5
~~ Binocular vision : III

Selection Process of NDA :

The selection procedure into the NDA is separated into 3 phases.

A written exam that conducted by the Union Public Service Commission
An interview is conducted by the Service Selection Board.
A medical test is carried out by the Service Medical Board.

Exam Pattern

There will be 2 Section on the subjects of

1.Mathematics(300 Marks)
2.General Ability(600 Marks)
