To apply for the Indian Military Academy you need to appear in the Combined Defence Services Examination which is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission. Here are the details of it:

The applicant should hold Degree of a recognized University or equivalent with good academic record………..


Elementary Mathematics Syllabus of CDS
Arithmetic: Aspirants are required to perform well in arithmetic which includes Number System, Fundamental Operations, Unitary Methods, and Elementary Number Theorems, Unitary method, time and distance, application to simple and compound interest etc.
Geometry: The candidates will have to answer geometric questions which contain Lines and angles, plane and plane figures, parallel lines, sides and triangles of a triangle, Congruency of triangles, Concurrence of medians and altitudes, circles and its properties including tangents and Normals, Loci etc.
Algebra: The applicants should be able to solve basic operations, Remainder Theorem, Quadratic Equations, Linear equations, Theory of Polynomials, Relationship between coefficients and roots (only real roots to be considered), set language, set notation etc.
Trigonometry: The applicants must have knowledge about the values of Sine x, cosine x and tangent x, simple Trigonometric identities, simple cases of height and distances.
Menstruation: All candidates applying for the test should have knowledge of calculating areas of squares, rectangles, triangles, circles and parallelograms, surface area and volume of spheres etc.
Statistics: This area will touch the tabulation of data, histograms, pie and bar charts, graphical representation, frequency polygons etc.

To join the Indian Military Academy, the age limit is 19 years to 24 years. Here, I am giving you details of the joining procedure of Indian Military Academy.

Eligibility Criteria:

Nationality:
(a) A citizen of India, or
(b) A subject of Nepal, or
(c) A subject of Bhutan, or
(d) A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
(e) A person of Indian origin

Education:
Applicant need to pass gradation degree form recognized university.

Marital Status: Un Married
Age limit: 19 to 24 years

For male: 157 cms
For boys: 152 cms.




How to join: Applicant can join the Indian Military Academy through Combined Defence Services Examination (CDS) conducted by the Union Public Service Commission twice a year.

Medical test

General Knowledge 100 marks
